Notice about Online Registration for International Students of 2020 Fall Semester in UIBE

Dear students,

Under the impact of the COVID-19 that is raging around the world, all Chinese universities have adjusted the teaching modes and schedules. Therefore, to ensure the smooth enrollments of international students in UIBE, here is the notice about online registration in 2020 Fall Semester. Please read carefully before everything got prepared.

 

1. Current returning university arrangements and teaching modes

1) Temporary arrangements

In view of the temporary exit-entry measures adopted by Chinese government of restriction on the entry of foreigners during the epidemic, students only from certain countries are allowed to enter China currently. Other overseas students cannot enter China until the official papers been released by Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government, therefore, visa application materials (JW 201/202 form and Admission Notice) are not available to mail temporarily. For students who are already in mainland China, they can apply for returning university after receiving the official notice from UIBE.

2) Teaching mode

To ensure the courses and study schedules in 2020 Fall Semester are carried out normally, students who are off-campus (overseas) will take the online courses, and degree students who are on-campus will take the courses through both online and offline methods.

3) WeChat ID collection 

In order to make sure all the curriculum resources are fully available to new students, please sign up for a WeChat account and finish the online survey via the link (https://www.wjx.cn/jq/86786091.aspx) before August 25th, the teacher in your school will invite you into the WeChat group later. Current students please pay attention to the notice from your class group.

2. Online registration schedules, courses schedules and other related arrangements

1) Schedules of online registration 

(1) Freshmen in degree programs

 Chinese-taught bachelor, master and doctoral programs: August 27th, 2020

 English-taught bachelor , master and doctoral programs: August 28th, 2020

(2) Current students in degree programs 

 Chinese-taught bachelor, master and doctoral programs: August 31st -- September 1st, 2020

 English-taught bachelor , master and doctoral programs: September 2nd -- September 3rd , 2020

(3) Non-degree students

 For all students: September 4th,2020

Important Notice

Please finish the online registration via the link http://202.204.172.146/check_in/profile        (username: your email address used for application; password:your own application serial number) with the arrangements above-mentioned. (If you are a freshman, you will receive an email with your application serial number. If you are a current student, please contact the coordinator for inquiries). 

Before the semester officially start, please complete the online registration process. Only after the registration is completed, you can officially start your courses. For the specific online registration process guide, please see Attachment 1: Online registration process guide for international students in China for the fall semester of 2020.

2) Course schedules for 2020 Fall semester 

(1) Degree students

 For freshmen of Chinese-taught bachelor programs: courses start on September 21st, end on December 31st, and exams from January 4th to 15th, 2021.

 For current students of Chinese-taught bachelor programs, all students of English-taught bachelor programs: courses start on September 7th, end on December 31st, and exams from January 4th to 15th, 2021.

 For all students of Chinese-taught and English-taught master and doctoral programs: courses start on September 7th, end on December 31st, and exams from January 4th to 15th, 2021.

(2) Non-degree students

 For all students: courses start on September 7th, end on December 18th, and exams from December 21st to 22nd.

  1. Tuition fee

 For students in self-paid program, please pay all the tuition fee before the online registration (please complete the rest tuition fee if you have already paid the advance payment), then upload the bank slip into the system. Due to the COVID-19, UIBE has adopted the 2020 Fall Semester temporary preferential tuition policy to express caring to international students, you could pay the discounted tuition fee by semester (please refer to the website http://sie.uibe.edu.cn/xwtg/tzgg/89013.htm and check for the standard), with the bank information shown in Attachment 2.

 Students who won the full scholarship in Chinese Government scholarship or 2020 Beijing Municipal Government scholarship in Chinese-taught master and doctoral program, there is no need to pay the tuition fee. If you are the winner of the 2020 Outstanding Freshman Award, please pay the difference in tuition according to the amount of scholarship you have received. (For example, outstanding freshmen who have received tuition reduction for the first semester can pay the normal tuition for the second semester).

Reminder

All international students must complete the online registration within the registration time schedules, then you will be invited into the WeChat group and enjoy your new semester with UIBE!
