Registration Notice for 2022 Spring Semester

Online Registration

Registration for the 2022 spring semester will be conducted online from February 21 to 25, 2022. All students are required to complete online registration during that week, otherwise their academic status will be affected. (Please see Attachment 1 for Online Registration Guide)

Payment Settlement

All self-funded students are required to settle their tuition fee by February 26, 2022. Students who cannot do it need to submit a written application to the office in charge before February 26 (returning students need to submit the application to the Office of Degree/Non-degree Education, new students need to submit it to Admission Office. Please see Attachment 2 for the Application Form for Late Payment)

Tuition Fees

Students should pay the tuition fees for one semester or one academic year in full amount before or during registration time. For those who plan to remit tuition, it is suggested to make the bank transaction before 21st of January (Bank Account Information please see Attachment 4)

Insurance fee (for students in China only)

If your study period is more than 6 months, insurance must be purchased on an annual basis, otherwise it can be purchased on a half-yearly basis

Tips: It is suggested that students in Beijing pay in person with UnionPay cards, Wechat or Alipay and newcomers to China prepare 5,000 to 6,000 RMB cash for visa and medical examination. Some non-UnionPay cards have withdrawal limits in China, so please prepare the payment in advance.

Visa application

Please bring your passport, visa application form (JW202) and admission letter (studying certificate for returning students) to the Chinese Embassy (Consulate) to apply for a visa to study in China. Those who will be studying in China for more than six months should enter with X1 visa, and those who will be studying for less than six months should enter with X2 visa. If you apply for other visas to study in China, you will be responsible for the consequences it might cause. After the quarantine, students must apply for a residence registration certificate at the police station of their residence within 24 hours (students living on campus should apply at the front desk of International Plaza), and visit the university visa office within 30 days to confirm or apply for a study visa. Students are responsible for any fees and penalties incurred by visa delays. (Note: Please make multiple copies of the documents issued by the school and keep them properly.)

On-campus Accommodation

During the epidemic, students must submit an application to their program administrator in advance to return to school. After receiving school’s approval, students can return to school on the date approved (office hours during weekdays), and contact the Department of Student Affairs (telephone number: 64495776) upon arrival at the west gate of the school. School staff will go and lead students to the front desk of the International Plaza for check-in and students will choose their room on site.

Remarks

1.Students must strictly abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the school's rules and regulations. If any illegal or undisciplined behavior is found (e.g. drug-related activity, carrying infectious disease viruses, etc.), the school has the right to reject students' registration or cancel their study status.

2.Please pay attention to the school official WeChat account (UIBE-SIE) to get news updates; Please pay attention to the announcements in the class WeChat group for the detailed arrangements for the new semester.
