One Letter to All UIBE Students and Staff

Dear students and staff:

At present, the battle against the new coronavirus infected pneumonia has announced. According to the Central Government of China, Beijing has launched the first level response mechanism for public health emergencies. Life weighs heavier than mountains. We resolutely implement the deployment of the Government and the requirements of the Ministry of education and Beijing Municipality, take the responsibility to protect and put the life safety and health of teachers and students first. Therefore, we would like to require you to cooperate with us in the following four aspects:

First, block the source of mobile contagium. Do not visit, gather, dine together or go to Wuhan or other epidemic areas. Avoid staying in densely populated areas or closed, airless public places. In particular, teachers and students who have been in the epidemic areas should strengthen self-protection, follow the advice and arrangement of the local government, and reduce the possibility of virus transmission.

Second, keep good living habits. Wear a mask when going out. Wash your hands and ventilate frequently. Do not spit. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. Avoid unprotected contact with wild animals or live animals and poultry. Pay attention to the food hygiene, separate the kitchen board and knife for cooking raw food and cooked food. Food should be fully cooked before eating. Take enough physical exercises to strengthen your physique and immunity.

Third, pay close attention to health. If you or your family have symptoms of respiratory tract infection such as fatigue, fever and dry cough, please go to the fever clinic of the nearest designated hospital for medical treatment timely, cooperate with the local disease control department in tracking and screening, and report the situation to the school in time.

Fourth, fully cooperate with the epidemic prevention and control. The school has launched the emergency plan, postponed the spring semester in 2020 and made relevant preparations to ensure the health and safety of teachers and students. The school is ready to keep abreast of the relevant information of everyone at any time. Please make sure that you can keep in touch with the school smoothly, report personal information truthfully and timely, and abide by the school's arrangements for epidemic prevention and control.

We should be fully aware that the prevention and control of epidemic situation is not only related to your life safety and health, but also the legal responsibility and obligation of every citizen. We should treat it rationally. Neither despise the disease nor become panic or believe in or spread rumors. We should rise to the call of the government and school and united together with confidence. Start from each of us, protect ourselves and protect the university, tough out the difficult time altogether.
