Chinese Language and Literature & International Politics- "2+2" Major-Minor Program

In today’s increasingly interconnected world, interdisciplinary talents who can communicate fluently in authentic Chinese, analyze international affairs with professional insight, and build cooperative bridges through economic diplomacy have become pivotal forces in transnational collaboration and global governance. As China’s benchmark institution for cultivating talents in foreign-related fields, UIBE innovatively launches the dual-degree program in Chinese (International Business Chinese) and International Politics (Economic Diplomacy Concentration), creating a three-dimensional growth path of "language + profession + practice" for international students in China. This program empowers you to become an economic diplomacy professional proficient in both Chinese and international contexts, driving global cooperation!

I. The project is pioneering and its advantages are fully demonstrated: Why choose a dual degree program in the University of International Business and Economics?

Key discipline: The university has a top teaching and research platform in domestic and international politics and there is a mature system for business Chinese teaching. The deep integration of two fields completely breaks through the traditional training limitation where "the language is well-versed, but the specialty is weak or the specialty is strong, but the cultures are separated".

"2+2" Integrated Design: Synergized courses--- some courses train the diplomatic advisory language, such as Viewing, Listening and Speaking of Economic and Trade Chinese; Some courses on China's national conditions are linked to the policies of China's economy and diplomacy, achieving "learning for immediate application".

II. Four Core Features: Adapt to international workplace.

1. Interdisciplinary System:

Focus on "Chinese + International Politics (Economy and Diplomacy)", highlight core requirements, such as cross-border communication and international affairs analysis.

2. Bilingual Advanced Application:

Cultivate the students to carry out the economic and diplomatic consultations, discuss international affairs and interpret the diplomatic policies in both languages.

3. Shape Global Competence:

Strengthen the cultivation of "Chinese cognition" and "cross-cultural collaboration", deal with challenges on the international stage with composure.
