A satisfactory living environment may not only relieve your anxiety and discomfort on a foreign land, but may also help you enjoy your study and life. Here we are going to introduce two types of accommodation: on-campus department and out-campus department. Each type has its advantages and students can consider and make their own decision. It should be noted that to respect students’ choice and make full use of the lodging source, students can book accommodation through online application system after confirmation of being admitted. We will arrange accommodation based on your requirement and allocate houses chronologically till all rooms are reversed.


1. On-campus Residences

UIBE’s International Students Center offers lodging for International students who study in our university for various length of time as well as guests who visit the university. Currently, there are four apartment buildings for international students: Huibin House (#6 Building), Huicai Apartment (#5 Building), Huide Apartment (#0 Building) and the Apartment Complex for International Students. These apartments are divided into deluxe, suite and standard rooms with a total of 1235 rooms and 2203 beds.

Huibin Apartment Building (#6 Building): This apartment offers 196 standard rooms and 9 spacious suites in a newly constructed building. As a general center for our international students, the first and second floor are all offices and classrooms while the upper four floors are designed as dorms to accommodate international students. All of the rooms are equipped with furniture, bathrooms with shower, air-conditioners, televisions and telephones as well as high speed internet access. For your convenience, the Center has also set up a business service office, a check room, a multifunctional entertainment center, a gymnasium, a coffee shop, a laundry and public kitchens on each floor. The rent for each bed is RMB 50 per day.

The price for long term students is 120 yuan per room per day (or 60 yuan per bed per day)

Huicai Apartment (#5 Building): The 117 apartments in this building are newly renovated. Each apartment includes a sitting room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and balcony. The rent for each bed is RMB65 per day. The east section of this building, offers 89 Economy Rooms. Each room, with two beds, has an area of 18 square meters and owns air-conditioner, television and telephone as well as internet access. On each floor there is a public toilet and a bath room. The price is 35 RMB per day.

The price for long term students is 130/70 yuan per room per day (or 65/35 yuan per bed per day)

Huide Apartment (#0 Building): Completed in September, 2001, the building offers 143 apartments for international students. Each apartment has an area of 38-45 square meters and includes a spacious sitting room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and balcony. You can live comfortably by either living alone or share with a roommate. In particular, this building is most suitable for married couples. The rent for each bed is RMB50-75 per day.

The price for long term students is 130 yuan per room per day (or 65 yuan per bed per day)

Apartment Complex for International Students (B): Completed in the year 2017, the building offers 392 single rooms and 9 standard rooms for international students. Here we offer independent toilet, 24-hour hot water, central air conditioner, TV, telephone, bookshelf, writing desk as well as internet access. And there are two public kitchen on the 5th and 10th floor, a cafe on the 1st floor, and a laundry room on the 1st floor underground. The rent for a single room is RMB85 per day and for each bed in the standard room it is RMB60 per day.

The price for long term students is 85 yuan per room per day (or 85 yuan per bed per day)

Apartment Complex for International Students (A): Completed in the year 2017, the building owns 205 standard rooms on the 2nd- 7th floor, as well as 91 deluxe rooms on the 8th - 10th floor. Here we offer independent toilet, 24-hour hot water, central air conditioner, TV, telephone, bookshelf, writing desk as well internet access. And there are two public kitchen on the 5th and 10th floor, a cafe on the 1st floor, and a laundry room on the 1st floor underground.

The price for long term students is 160 yuan per room per day (or 80 yuan per bed per day)

According to the decision made by the university, the hostel runs as a corporate and it is our pleasure and commitment to create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for you. Currently, there are 60 full-time workers in the Center with managerial staff which are appointed by invitation and other staff recruited through contract. The attendants are enrolled on the basis of competitive selection of graduates from charm schools.

To further improve our services, we put a suggestions box on the 1st floor of Huibin apartment Building and suggestion forms in the Service Guidance of each room. What’s more, residents could communicate with the reception about the problems you encounter in the hostel and the clerk will inform the related department in order to solve them.

2. Off-campus Accommodation

We introduce the following hotels for reference to those who will not live on campus. There are several hotels in the vicinity which offer rooms to students at reduced rates for long-term occupancy.

Huiqiao Hotel, Yinghua Hotel and the Mayor's Home are all standard 2- or 3-star hotels right across the street from the west gate of the University. The rooms (with 2 beds) are all air-conditioned, have 24-hour hot water, and are fully furnished. The daily rent is approximately RMB 320.

Besides the hotels mentioned above, the Huiyuan Apartment and North Star Continental Grand Hotel can also be considered as a possible choice.

Important notes for off-campus housing:

According to the government regulations, foreign students who live off-campus must live in housing that has been approved as a legal residence for foreigners. If they choose to live in housing that has not been approved as legal residence for foreigners, their rights will not be protected by law.

If students would like to move off campus during their study period, they have to go through the following procedures:

1. Obtain from the local police station an approval for residing temporarily at the new address.

2. Bring your new temporary residence approval to the service desk of the SIE and fill out the application for moving-out.

3. Bring up-said documents to the Office of Students’ Affairs of SIE and get the permit for moving out.

If students living off-campus would like to move to a new address during their study period, they have to obtain the new approval for residence from the local police station at the new address, then bring it to the Visa Office of SIE and register for the change of address.
