I. Degree students enrolled in UIBE shall pay tuition fee according to the time and the amount specified in university regulations. Delay of payment over 10 working days will automatically be considered as withdrawal from university.

II. The tuition fee should be paid in Renminbi.

III. Undergraduates and postgraduates shall pay for their first academic year during their registration in the first semester. The remaining tuition fee will be paid by each semester. PhD students shall pay for each academic year in each autumn semester.

IV. Students who withdraw from university for personal reasons in the 1^st academic year shall submit written applications to explain the reasons. Upon approval by the School of International Education, the applicants could have the tuition fee returned in line with the following policies.   

1. Students applying for withdrawal within the 1^st week of the 1^st semester will have 70% tuition fee returned.

2. Students applying for withdrawal within 2 weeks of the 1^st semester will have 50% tuition fee returned.

3. Students applying for withdrawal after 2 weeks of the 1^st semester will have 25% tuition fee returned.

4. Students applying for withdrawal after the 1^st semester will have no tuition fee returned.

V. Students who withdraw from university for personal reasons in other academic years will have their tuition fee returned in line with the following policies.

1. Students applying for withdrawal within the 1^st week of the semester will have 70% tuition fee returned.

2. Students applying for withdrawal within 2 weeks of the semester will have 50% tuition fee returned.

3. Students applying for withdrawal after 2 weeks of the semester will have no tuition fee returned.

VI. Students applying for graduation in advance shall pay for the tuition fee of the remaining academic years within 3 weeks after approval.

VII. Students who can’t finish their study within the stipulated years could apply to extend and pay the tuition fee in line with the following policies.

1. Students who finish all course credits but fail to submit the final thesis or pass the thesis defence in time shall pay 4000 yuan per year for academic status administration fee.

2. For students who fail to gain enough course credits, if there are less than 10 credits remained, they shall pay 50% of the annual tuition fee; if there are more than 10 credits (including 10) left , students shall pay the full annual tuition fee.
