In order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with educational institutions in Southeast Asia and recruit more outstanding international students to study at UIBE, from March 22nd to 30th, 2024, a group led by Geng Huifang, Party Secretary of the School of International Education, Yang Hangjun, deputy dean of the School of International Trade and Economics and Du Peiyuan, deputy dean of the School of International Education visited Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. During this period, they participated in the Jakarta and Medan Education Exhibition for Overseas Students in China, visited the United Chinese School Committees' Association of Malaysia, Kian Kok Middle School, San Min Independent Secondary School and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology in Malaysia, as well as Pathumwan Institute of Technology, Mahidol University, Thammasat University and the Krirk University in Thailand. The group was warmly received by directors and relevant personnel from educational institutions in the host country, and had in-depth discussions and exchanges with various cooperating institutions on topics of common interest.
This overseas visit further strengthened the cooperation between UIBE and relevant educational institutions in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, expanded UIBE's influence in Southeast Asia, and laid the foundation for the next step of UIBE's overseas market expansion and joint training programs for international students.
