On May 11, 2023, the 19th International Youth Culture Festival of the University of International Business and Economics was grandly held in the square in front of the Chengxin Building of the University. With the theme of "Splendid Youth-Shared Future", this year's International Youth Culture Festival was divided into six sections, including opening ceremony, arts and cultural performances, five continents' styles, elite competitions, cultural communication, and international salon, and included 14 activities with rich contents and interesting forms. The conference also invited 92 ambassadors from 48 countries, more than 20 government officials and experts to gather in Huiyuan to enjoy the event. Many journalists from domestic and foreign media were invited to attend and report on the event.
In the cultural performances, Chinese traditional folk music, traditional dances of various countries and other programs made a great show, and the exotic style and Chinese culture collided and rubbed out the beautiful sparks. Finally, the opening ceremony came to an end with the "UIBE Song" sung by Chinese and foreign students. During the performance, there was non-stop excitement on the stage and applause on the stage, and the flavors of the five continents gathered in Huiyuan.
A total of 128 countries participated in this International Youth Cultural Festival, and 63 countries set up exhibitions. The cultural and culinary booths of each country and region were distributed in the four areas of North, South, West and East, where participants could not only buy the special products of each country, but also receive the "Passport for Traveling to the Five Continents" and collect the national flag stickers and redeem the limited cultural creations of this year's International Youth Cultural Festival at the booths. The students in charge of each country's exhibition area were enthusiastic and friendly, and showed the guests, teachers and students the special culture of their countries. At the same time, there was also a "Chinese Nationalities" exhibition area in the South Zone, which focused on displaying the magnificent Chinese national culture and let students from different countries know more about the splendid Chinese civilization.
As an annual event of our university, the International Youth Culture Festival has been widely acclaimed since its establishment in 2001, and its content and organization have been enriched continuously, providing a platform for exchanges and mutual appreciation of different cultures from all over the world, spreading international thinking and promoting mutual appreciation of civilizations. It is not only a cultural feast, but also a beautiful stage for the students to lead to a harmonious world and promote world integration, which demonstrates the rich campus culture and the international style of the students.
